Rabbi Cohen was our Scholar-in-Residence for an endowed interfaith clergy lecture (Friday afternoon) and then for the Shabbat weekend thereafter.
In a word, she was splendid!
Appreciating, respectively, what interfaith clergy as well as our regular Shabbat morning Torah Study attendees needed to hear, Sandy created a sincere and genuine connection with every audience she addressed.
She is a skilled listener and a symbolic exemplar; and, deftly drawing on both our tradition & texts, she made impressions on our people that were both subtle & profound.
Personally, I now experience the diversity of our community with a greater appreciation for who is and is not in the room in an entirely different and more deeply significant way for the time and Torah Rabbi Sandy Cohen taught while with us.”
